Houston Area Doberman Rescue

HOUSTON AREA DOBERMAN RESCUE (HADR) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization that takes in Dobermans in need from all over Texas. We are the oldest and largest Doberman rescue in Houston and have been operating for over 16 years.  HADR serves as advocates for purebred Doberman Pinschers who have become lost, abandoned, or abused.  We vaccinate, microchip, spay/neuter, treat heartworms and maintain vet records before the dogs are placed in carefully selected new homes. Our adoption process is extensive, requiring a home visit prior to being approved. Adopters are required to give their dog(s) obedience training, which helps make the adoption successful.

HADR also sees a real need for breed training.  We strive to dispel the stereotype of Dobermans as vicious guard dogs.  We work hard to show the public the true nature of Dobermans - loving, sweet, goofy, playful, loyal, intelligent and wonderful family members.
