Being a holistic veterinarian, I choose to use essential oils, chiropractic assessment, homeopathy, massage, and stress the importance of a healthy digestive tract to my clients. This in turn explains the benefits of the sheep milk in Ewegurt. Let me touch upon how good gut health can boost his or her immune system. Getting your dog’s gut bacteria healthy is one of the most important things you can do for his overall health. If his gut bacteria are sick, so is he.
The gut wall houses 70 percent of the cells that make up the immune system. For example, You may not attribute digestive problems with allergies, autoimmune diseases, or mood disorders. Many diseases seemingly unrelated are actually caused by gut problems! Ewegurt can help re-balance the gut if it is compromised because of a poor diet, medication overuse, infections, inadequate digestive enzymes or stress.
Ewegurt is also a problem solver, by healing the gut your dog feels better and allows him to better cope with daily stresses. Among other benefits Ewegurt includes, is a large amount of magnesium, which is not only beneficial for the entire body, but also nature’s sedative and therefore is great to calm anxious dogs, naturally.
I would like to point out the benefits of each ingredient in Ewegurt and how it contributes to a dog’s overall health.
Sheep milk yogurt is a nutrient powerhouse. Sheep’s milk contains about one third more energy than cow or goat milk. It has double the protein and much more of the right kinds of fats, vitamins and minerals, particularly calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc, while being lower in sodium. It has more than twice as much Vitamin C, and double or triple the other essential vitamins. Importantly, it also has more folic acid (folate). The fat globules in sheep milk are smaller than those in either cow or goat milk so the milk is more homogenous. The smaller the fat globules are often more easily digested and therefore a natural for lactose intolerant dogs.
The sardines are full of omega -3 fatty acids and Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). Kutchner says: “The fatty acids have many health benefits, like cancer prevention, reducing inflammation, and keeping the immune system strong. CoQ10 supports a healthy heart and circulation. The fatty acids also help brain development, which makes them good for puppies and kittens.” CoQ10, aka Ubiquinol, is also excellent in preventing dental disease
Kale is one of the superfoods for dogs that is easy to add to their diets and usually very easy to find. It can be added shredded, chopped or leafy, steamed, baked, sautéed or raw, depending on how your dog will eat it. It provides many nutrients and lowers cholesterol. Kale is known to help prevent at least 5 types of cancer in humans and research suggests it does the same in animals. Kale serves as both an anti-inflammatory and an anti-oxidant. The unique combination of flavonoids with anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatories has been shown to alleviate chronic joint stress and daily wear and tear. Also for daily health, kale is known to essential vitamins often missing or insufficient in dog food including: beta carotene, calcium, vitamin K, vitamin C, lutein and zeaxanthin.
Beets are a body cleansing and blood purifying superfood. Beets are also an excellent source of folate and a very good source of manganese, potassium, and copper. They are also a good source of dietary fiber, magnesium, phosphorus, vitamin C, iron, and vitamin B6. Beet greens actually have even more iron than spinach (another leafy green in the same botanical family).
Parsley is rich in many vital vitamins, including Vitamin C, B12, K and A. This means parsley keeps the immune system strong, tones your bones and heals the nervous system. It helps flush excess fluid from the body, thus supporting kidney function. And, studies indicate that parsley – may have a role in inhibiting cancerous tumors.
